Disneyworld Restaurants

September 30th, 2010 by EM Guide | Comments Off | Filed in Vacation

Disneyworld is the place where dreams come true. It is an amusement park that takes visitors around the world exploring different themed areas and even gives people the potential to learn a little bit about cultures across the globe in a fun and exciting way. Besides the rides and neat gift shops, Disneyworld also has a collection of the best tasting food from around the world. For anyone who has been curious to try cuisines that are hard to find anywhere else in America, Disneyworld restaurants are the places to do it.

No matter what kind of food people are in the mood for, Disneyworld and its resorts provide multiple places to go to get great food and awesome atmosphere. For American food Disneyworld has a few options that each have a very elaborate setting. There’s the World Premier Food Court which lets diners enjoy a theater type setting while enjoying classic food such as burgers, pizza, fries, and even breakfast food like omelets and pancakes. The Intermission Food Court found in the All-Star Music Resort has the same types of food but fills the area with murals of iconic musical figures. Sports fans will enjoy the End Zone Food Court with its stadium themed setting.

Once you get into the park itself there are still even more options available. The Rainforest Caf? is a chain that serves lunch and dinner in a jungle themed area. Enjoy delicious pasta, chicken, and vegetarian meals under the rainforest canopy. Animated animals enhance the atmosphere. Other themed restaurants include Chinese food with Eastern artifacts, African cuisine with a very safari themed atmosphere, and an indoor “garden” with tasty sandwiches. There are over one hundred places to eat at Disneyworld and no two places are alike.

For the adults enjoying a romantic and exciting vacation there are lots of classy restaurants too, complete with alcoholic beverages. From Martha’s Vineyard with delicacies such as seafood and imported beer to the Crystal Palace, which serves a buffet and has visits from beloved Disney characters. There is something to suit every mood.

People traveling to Disneyworld won’t have time to eat at every location, even if they were to stay an entire summer. Before anyone makes travel plans they should look through the very long list of restaurants to see if any stand out ahead of time. It’s always fun to explore and try a new place spur of the moment but it would be terrible to go home and find out that there was a restaurant that had exactly what you wanted. Since some of the restaurants are located in certain places such as hotels and resorts, knowing which places a person wants to eat at can also help determine where they’ll be staying and which sections of the giant theme park they’ll be visiting. The best part about the many Disneyworld restaurants is that even if a person eats somewhere different every day they are vacationing there, there will still be new places to explore the next time they go.

Disneyworld – How to Budget Your Way to a Fun Trip

September 30th, 2010 by EM Guide | Comments Off | Filed in Vacation

Whether Disneyworld is your family’s favorite vacation destination or one you are looking forward to visiting for the first time, planning ahead can be the key to a successful and affordable trip. There are plenty of ways to investigate your options ahead of time, online or through a travel agent, in order to figure out what will work best for you and your family.

Some of your bigger costs, such as transportation and accommodation will vary by season, so it is worth looking into how much you can save by traveling during a non-peak period. Hotels commonly charge at least $40 more per night during the holidays compared to value season rates, which adds up over the course of a week.

Your choice of accommodation will also mean deciding whether you want to stay on or off resort, or even go camping. Some hotels are walking distance from the attractions, others offer free shuttle service – all things to consider depending on what is most important to you in order to enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

In addition to airline and hotels, you will want to consider a number of other costs while planning your vacation including: car rental or other transportation; food costs (three meals a day per person); entrance fees for the various attractions; and souvenirs. Limiting the number of meals you eat out can save a lot of money, so consider buying cereal and making your own sandwiches if possible. Having a preset budget for items like souvenirs is also a good idea in order to keep spending under control.

It is particularly important to plan ahead if you will be traveling with a pet. Disney theme parks do offer kennels, as pets are not allowed inside the parks, but availability is limited. Some campgrounds allow pets, but not in tents or pop-up campers, so make sure you know the ins and outs before you arrive!

In order to control your vacation costs, you may be able to find good deals through online discount ticket sellers, or find special internet rates or email offers. The sooner you start looking, the better you’ll be able to compare offers and save the most money. Another reason to start early is the ability to start a vacation savings fund, so that you are able to pay for your vacation when it arrives, rather than relying on credit and paying interest rates after the fact.

Exploring your travel options, saving ahead of time, and sticking to a prearranged budget are all great ways to make the most of a stress-free vacation. Decide in advance what everyone most wants to do in order to make the best use of your time and ensure that the whole family has a successful and satisfying trip.

Travel Video – Airlie Beach, Irish Backpacker, Australia

Travel Videos and dvd’s at www.overlander.tv Airlie Beach (pop. 3029) Airlie Beach, gateway to the Whitsunday islands has a reputation for being a great place to party, in between sailing trips to the islands. Another must stop location on the backpacker migration up north. Had a ball in Airlie, went out on a boat yesterday to snorkel the reef. The colours of the coral and the diversity of the fish life just blew me away. Thanks to Jetstream for the trip. Also checked out the Barefoot Bushmans Wildlife Park where you can see a variety of Aussie wildlife including a great crocodile show. Tomorrow I go out on a 54 foot Classic Schooner, the Atlanta , for a morning cruise before heading off to Magnetic Island. It’s a hard life….. In Airlie I decided that given it is such a big location for back packers, instead of interviewing an Aussie local, I would interview a back packer working at Airlie. A young Irish Lass, Jenni Higgins, working at the local Irish Pub.

For Adventure Travel, This Works Like Crazy

September 27th, 2010 by EM Guide | Comments Off | Filed in Travel

For some people, the perfect vacation is to find a five star hotel or beach where you can every whim catered to and every indulgence fulfilled. Others may seek a more family style excursion with amusement parks and theme parks. And yet others may opt for a cruise or other entertainment vacation. However there are those who desire to go ?where no man has gone before?. There are those who enjoy walking on the wild side. For these people, there exists adventure travel.

Adventure travel may take you kayaking in Glacier Bay, Alaska. You may choose to go canoeing and camping in the boundary waters of Northern Minnesota. You may choose to travel the world always seeking the path less traveled. You may travel to the rainforests of the Amazon or the Sahara Desert. You may go on an African Safari or mountain climbing in Tibet.

Beginners can get started in adventure travel easily. Many places offer guided and equipped tours into adventure areas. Experienced outfitters can provide you with all the equipment and the guide you need to start in adventure travel. More experienced adventures may plan their own trips and use their own equipment.

Adventure travel may also include ecotravel or travel with a purpose. Perhaps your adventure travel vacation could include a visit to an African refugee camp or helping to feed the hungry in a third world nation.

Perhaps your adventure travel will take to you to South America visiting ruins of the ancient Aztec civilization. Maybe your adventure travel will take you to the pyramids of Egypt.

Adventure travel is about discovering something new. Perhaps the adventure is the sport and the activity such as kayaking, canoeing, camping, mountain climbing, hiking and more. But adventure travel is not limited to sport. Adventure travel includes adventures in science visiting the Antarctic or the Amazon rainforest. Adventure travel includes discovering history in the Middle East or South America. Adventure travel can take you into the depths of winter or into the heat of summer.

No matter where you go or what you do, adventure travel is all about traveling on the road less traveled, learning about the world, learning about other people and other cultures. Adventure travel can take you to the extremes. You can go to the most extreme and remote parts of the world. You can engage in extreme sports. You can visit extreme history.

There are many travel agents available to help you plan your next adventure travel vacation.
